I dont have anything against USA, I have relatives in there, but some things are just over the line for me.

I keep hearing everywhere I see some American movie 'proud American, proud American'. Why they have so much patriotism in their minds?

US flags are everywhere. I go shopping and I see t-shirts with US flags, but I cant get any t-shirt with Slovenian flag, or I have to order it. When relatives came to visit us, they give us all kinds of stuff, pens with US flag, shirts, blankets, fridge magnets, plates, everything with US flag on. Then I get that feeling like if USA wants that everyone would worship US flag.

Why South Americans risk their lives and illegaly migrate to USA, if they can already find a better life in their country? I saw documentaries and its not so horrible to live in there, like they say. They can have anything if they work hard.

The only reason why I learned English is because I was raised with hollywood movies. And I even automaticaly speak English with American accent. Why cant they put on some Spanish, German, Russian, Israeli, African, Indian movies? We know how to read subtitles. I wanna see some other movies than hollywood ones. And even if the story in the movie is happening in france, they still speak English and they even use American actors. I'm so tired of watching movies.

I can find $ dollar sign pendants everywhere, but its so hard to find € euro sign pendants. I want €€€€ !!!! I pay with euros everyday.

By the way, I noticed something. Americans are so fat. No offence. I see some documentary and every second person is overweight. In here we eat a lot of stuff and we dont get so fat and we eat all kinds of traditional food. and are Americans more lazy? Cause we dont use stuff like microwaves or blenders. We use the old way, work work work work in the kitchen, no fast food. It was soooo weird to me when parents bought a microwave. I was like 'what on Earth is this????' The whole day was so weird to me cause of that microwave and its still weird for me to see a microwave in a kitchen. And I barely use it.

The world is full of American stuff.

Wow, so many questions. We are too proud, and if we don't get a grip on that it's going to come back to bite us. There really is a God in heaven and he won't tolerate our pride forever. We either better humble ourselves or prepare to be humiliated (I mean like wiped out in a surprise nuclear attack and turned to a 3rd world nation forever). I don't see any problem with patriotism, love of country, but there's no need to be proud.

I don't even watch hollywood movies, they're awful. Everyone knows how they will end after 5 minutes. I'm happy I live in a place with a lot of theaters that show foreign movies. My favorites have been from China, Iran, France, Italy and many other countries.

Microwaves are okay, but eating processed food causes fat and cancer, that's the big problem. I try to balance by eating organic fruits and vegetables. But most Americans don't.

Where are you from???

I'm from the United States, and I'm not as proud as the media insiniuates us to be. I don't like stuff with the US flag on them, though a t-shirt with the British flag would be pretty cool to have.
Anyways, you're relatives probably think that you'd like to have something from America. If you don't like it, perhaps you could tell them to bring you something else if they want to give you things.
Also, people apparently like American things. There are plenty of things around the world (including in the US) that are from other cultures. It's good to have things like that, and the US is a young country and perhaps it just wants even more attention because of that.

Well I'm all American but you won't see me with any American Flag refrigerator magnets, t-shirts or other USA gear. Personally I think wearing red and white stripes with blue is tacky. Youre relatives just give you those things because they probably feel you would appreciate to have something from America. My friends do the same for me when they visit from other countries, and I too am sure to pick something up from other countries when I visit them. My house is filled with things from all over the world. I'm sure it's no different from them and they probably don't realize that you already see this stuff every day.

European...

First of all, there are very few South Americans in the US. The Latin Americans that migrate to the US are 95% of them from Mexico, Central America or the Caribbean

2. No they cannot find better life in their countries. It all depends of how much study you have and all those emmigrants were people with very few education.

The American 'culture' is a pervasive influence in the world and I, being an American, DO NOT think that this is good. I do not view America as above all other cultures either. The American culture is young and ill defined. Like a bragging child.

Lots of "stuff" is American because Americans took an easy way to live which is attractive to other people. People will always prefer easy to hard.

Empty vessels make great noise.

If these empty vessels have coins but no soil or depth, the noise is bound to be greater!!!

To reduce this noise, others must only do one thing...

Make their countries financially strong...

When other countries will have more coins, with their soil and spirituality, the noise of US will automatically come down!

Actually, here in Australia, I find it is full of Chinese stuff, and American's are an arrogant race, but they can't help it, it is an attitude bred into them. It is only a premise.
