People I visit in hospitals are seriously ill and don't receive fruit.
Come to think of it, I don't ever recall seeing a fruit basket in a patient's room. That is an interesting question.

Never. I have never eaten a sick person in a hospital or the fruit I brought her.
I wonder why you would even consider that, but have to remember Spiders might do that.

No, but I have been to a hospital that leaves a basket of apples out on the front desk. I grabbed one every time I visited my sick friend, and by the time she got out, I had enough to make her a nice apple pie.

No. I usually take them flowers and stuff.
However, if there happens to be a fruit basket, I tend to hover near it until they give in and offer me some.
