haha it's the only place i would want to be if i had to go to prison but it would be very lonely after a time

Solitude--how nice. But you don't get any books or other reading material. The lights are on in your cell all the time. The food is 20 times worse than in general population. No privileges--no TV,radio,visitors,phone calls,no store ,no nothin'. Still, some guys like it.

Even though humans like to have space, 99.9% are social and require interaction with each other. Only a true hermit can be happy in an isolated environment for an extended amount of time.

Some may see it as such , depending on your personality, but psychologically people need to be around other people , human interaction is actually necessary, and for most people isolation is very hard it causes all kinds of anxieties... I suppose that's why they use it as a punishment for inmates that break the in jail regulations...

No way, think about it..wouldn't you go nuts if you were confined to this tiney room with nothing in there but a bed?? and to allowed out for just an hour a day!!

Yes it is if you are not in prison - celebrities in county lockup get a private room to keep them out of the regular jail population.

I am not answering from experience, but I have often thought the same thing. I think it is mainly because of the fact that it is not just being alone, but the rest of the things that you have to endure.

It is actually tortuous for someone to have little or no human contact for extended periods of time. Some people even go insane from it.

Yeah, yet i would not like it to be forced upon me. yet whilst one had to do it and on no account ought to pay charges or artwork.. sounds like a stable thank you to meditate for an particularly long term.
