BEIJING (AP) — Turning the tables on the United States amid growing worries over dangerous Chinese products, Beijing said some health supplements, raisins and pistachios imported from the U.S. failed to meet China's safety standards and have been returned or destroyed.

Hilarious. Well, they don't have the market cornered on food flaws, that is the truth.

If any country engages in trading unsafe food products, it should be discontinued. We don't even test many of our health food supplements. Some of the ingredients in vitamins originate in China. The packaging of raisins and pistachios may not be fit for the trip to China.

The fact that China has done this shows they may be inspecting their foods now, which is a good thing.

This is probably an instance of tit for tat. I doubt that the goods in question were compromised. The real worry is that China's goods are going to kill someone, then all hell will break loose. Too bad Americans can't sacrifice their pocketbook and wean themselves from the purchase of inferior products, built by a country that wishes us no good will and controls our economy.
Not a good position to be in as a country.
