The Cloud Chamber, by Clare George.
It's somewhat fictional, but based on a great deal of fact, surrounding the secrecy involved in work leading up to the atom bomb. Somespy stuff, some science, some ethical and moral issues, and a gripping read with characters you could believe in.

I read Ghostwritten too, and I agree, fantastic read. I really enjoyed Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier, brilliant book. And I must reread it again, I'm sure there is more to uncover, or hints that I missed

The last book I read that I wanted to start back at the beginning after I finished was the book 'New Moon' by Stephenie Meyer. It was such a good book and full of action and drama always putting you in suspense.

This probably sounds crazy, but The Baroque Cycle by Neal Stephenson. It's massive - three 900 page novels - but the ending ties back into aspects of the beginning, so I was sorely tempted to go back and see all the connections.

Lucky, The Lovely Bones, and Running With Scissors. All great books. The movie for RWS wasn't that great though, it left out a lot of stuff that was in the book, and I'm talking a LOT. Don't see it before you read the book.
