On August 1914 witnessed the kind of horror that man is able to start but is unable to stop.

1939 to 1945 World War II resulted in the deaths of over 60 million people, making it the deadliest conflict in human history.

The 20th century was also witness to the failure of communism, an experimental system of government, characterized by the government control of all the economic resources. That system resulted in one of the most oppressive systems in human history.

There was also the Vietnam War which occurred from 1959 to April 30, 1975 in Vietnam.
