"And a man's need for sex is what is often misunderstood." writes Sarah Hampson in Sex, or he's your ex."So, they feel that I am perpetuating a stereotype - that all men need constant sex and that women have to accommodate this enormous sexual drive. That was not my intent. I know there are women who live in sexless marriages, too. But I wanted to take the male point of view in order to explain what I think is so often misunderstood. Men express themselves through sex. And while I am not advocating that women fulfill the physical needs of their male partners all the time, whether they feel like it or not, I do think that it is helpful to know what sex means to them.Communication is the only way to build a meaningful relationship, so if I have to start it for them, then fine. Men are wired to have sexual impulses -- the urge and then get it over until it comes again. These impulses are often driven by visual stimulation's so men go after available bodies.

The man's moral compass is based on his upbringing, education, and social standing. Men's are also driven by their desire to succeed in building a career (or in the old days, an empire) and sex is the reward for that.

Accomplished men don't want to be seen as sex machines, more as a show of his power (when they have mistresses). Power is the strongest aphrodisiac for men and the women falling for the powerful men.

Accomplished men also laughed at the "dickhexds" for having no brain. That means that we don't want to be seen as sex machines, just sexy from the power we wield and materials we possess.

Sorry, but I'm not buying it. Sex is only one method of communication, and if a person needs to communicate with sex as their number one method, then they are kinda brain-dead.
