At times I see a young daughter deprived of a father at a young age bravely determined to follow in his footsteps. At other times I see a youngster so over-the-top she must have started acting lessons in her mother's womb. That's the contradiction: the "oh how adorable" factor blended in with the eerie "ick" factor.

What say we?

I think you've nailed it pretty well. She's certainly been blessed with a good deal of talent, and yet runs a very real risk of that talent turning into a caricature through the meddlesome interventions of the "grown-ups". Not the first time something like that has happened and, unfortunately, it won't be the last.

The entertainment business is a mixture of fantasy and cold, hard business reality, and it's not everyone who can walk that line successfully. Much innocence and natural ability has been spoiled by the manipulations, however well-intentioned, of those who allegedly "know what's best".

Seems like we'll just have to wait and see as subsequent chapters unfold.

Stay tuned...

I feel so sorry for this little girl. Her mother should book her a room at Promises rehab right now and keep it on retainer.
As a new born infant, she was dangled like alligator bait while the whole world watched. She's been groomed for celebrity since birth.
Then, her father was ripped from her life by one of the strangest, and most ironic deaths in recent memory. Instead of withdrawing from the spotlight and taking time to grieve, Teri Irwin decides to go ahead and move the child half way around the world so she can work a full time job in full view of the voyeuristic public.
She is a beautiful and charming little girl, but that smile seems unnaturally glued to her face, and she already works the press like a pro. Performance on command, never caught off guard.
Don't be fooled into thinking Teri Irwin is any different from Dina Lohan. Disguising her daughter's tv career as a benign campaign to help animals is just a clever pr move. She is too young and has been through too much for this kind of pressure.
I hope to God I'm wrong, but I see a train wreck coming.

I think she should come back to Australia for a while, and just get her thoughts together for a minute.
Steve hasn't been dead for a year yet, surely that must be affecting her some way, she is just to busy to grieve fully.
Every time I turn on the T.V there she is on some show in America.
Come home for a spell Bindi and just chill for bit

i replaced into on an afternoon off and the fact got here visiting the ticker on the backside of the show screen. I waited 10 minutes for a information bulletin to make particular it, earlier I phoned my substantial different, who replaced into/is a great Steve Irwin fan, to tell him. I made confident he pulled the motor vehicle over earlier I informed him. We pass over him extraordinarily. We watched 'My Dad - The Crocodile Hunter' the different evening and basically reminded us of what a great loss it replaced into.

I see a cute kid who obviously loved her father very much and wants him to be remembered. On the other hand, I see a child who has an enormous amount of pressure on her back and I blame her mother for a lot of that. I don't think she's been allowed to grieve properly. It remains to be seen what kind of effect all this will have on her.

I think she is sincerely trying to carry on in her father's footsteps but still I find it wierd she didn't act or show much emotion with her father's death, she's been quite perky instead which disturbs me in a way.
I think she's gotten into showbusiness too quick as well, we know what happens with alot of childhood stars such as drugs, rehab etc.
Hopefully she won't fall down this path.

I don't know about this girl. You'd think she would've learned from her father. Losing such an important role in your life at a young age must be killing her inside. I think she should just stick to being a regular kid if she can.

If you had seen earlier things she did with her dad, she was not over the top. Bindi has been like that from the first time she appeared on camera. Even before her dad's passing, she had said she had wanted to do what he did. I think her mom will keep her grounded

Exploited. First by an attention seeking father (whom she imitates) and now by a weak mother caught in the momentum of sympathy and greedy hangers on. Sad.
