You could probably make the drive in about half an hour, once you learn where you are going. However, the first few times it may take you about 40, 50 or even 60 minutes to get there. Also, traffic will be a little bit of a factor as well.

Davenport is a pretty nice area. I would say it would be a little more ideal if you are wanting to live in Florida and be near Disney, Universal, etc. rather than vacationing there. To be that far from the parks (if that is what you are going for) isn't so bad when you leave in the morning, you are excited and can't wait to get there (may be a little bit of a problem if you have younger kids) But, when you want to get home at night, the drive can seem to take forever. Especially if you stay till the parks close when the traffic can be really bad and take a while to get back to even hotels in Orlando.

Before making a decision, I would look into the options you have a little closer to Orlando. There are several good options and it will really cut down on your cost.

Also, if you don't mind sitting through the presentation, you can do a timeshare tour and usually get a room really cheap, plus tickets and things. They will usually offer a 2br condo at a pretty low rate, something you may want to consider if you need to save a little money, but would like to be closer to Orlando.

Hope this helps!

It's maybe forty-five minutes to an hour away, depending on traffic. To get to Orlando from Davenport, one would take U.S. 27 to I-4, and the route along I-4 goes right past Disney, and as any Central Florida resident knows, the traffic in that area can be terrible.

Davenport isn't far from Disney at all. Disney is located in Lake Buena Vista.

With traffic and depending on time of day that you go into the city of Orlando, it's about 45-60minutes driving.
