I'm looking for ways to surprise a certain someone on his coming birthday... Any ideas?

Ive surprised a couple of friends, aka. lets go out to lunch, and we arrive and everyone is there, and once I just stuffed a friends room with lots of balloons and little things (candy or stuff like that).

Ask him to come to lunch with you. Make it out like you're just going to lunch for his birthday, but do something special for him like hide a special gift in his napkin or something. An idea for a gift could be a certificate that you made for a gadget that you know that he wants or a note that says you'll take him on a trip somewhere at the time that he chooses.
