Well, ^^ the base is the down part of the rectnagle(In case you don't know)

the length is the height.
Here is a fact: Length is upways and Width is across

Basic facts...

In case one or two of the sides are diagonal (both have to be either left right or up down)
Remember the diagonal doesn't matter just think it is a rectangle and add a triangle then see the length that is the answer

but at first the question is a little confusing...

Well it is still now...

Are you trying to find the area of the rectangle or the perimeter? If you're trying to find the area, apply the formula of length times width (lw); however, if you're trying to find the perimeter, the formula is 2l + 2w or two times length plus two times width = perimeter. What is your length and width measured in? If your answer needs to be in cm, then, you will have to convert your measurements into cm, using the metric system; but, before you can do this conversion, you have to know what the initial length and width are measured in--i.e. inches, feet, etc.

Confused by what the question is asking you...Can you define what you mean by the length and the base cos they sound like the same thing. Is one of them a diagonal?

This question doesn't make sense. Do you mean a triangle? If you do then the equation is height = 1/2 x base x height.

Height is 0 since its a rectangle, its 2d, it has no volume.

Question is wrong. A rectangle has only two sides. Those two sides are known to you.
