Well... if you are church going folk, you can also get him involved with a church youth group. They go out on outings all the time and go to christian camps like Hume Lake here in California.
If he's not into sports, what about an art class?? City programs most always have art programs for kids and so he can be creative and express himself with art.
When I needed a hobby I took up archery. It's not a "sport" but, you can take archery classes and meet other kids your age there.
Just some ideas.

Well there's other "sports" besides the traditional ones. Maybe he would like a sport that was more individual rather than a team. Like say swimming, dirtbiking, golfing, fishin, skateboardin.
There's lots of things a kid can do with other kids that ain't necesarily a sport too. Maybe drama, or music, or stuff like chess tournaments.

You stated which you have tried counseling yet have you ever tried drugs? My 13 year previous stepson replaced into performing out in plenty the comparable way after his mom surpassed directly to the excellent beyond approximately 2 years in the past. whilst he raised his hand to our youngest (3yrs on the time) we knew that we had to do some thing different than the communicate treatment direction. He began seeing a psychologist and replaced into positioned on drugs. It did wonders. He now acts like a typical 13 year previous youngster and is doing so nicely that the commonly used practitioner is relatively in the technique of weaning him off of the prescription. yet another thought that we seen replaced into inpatient psychological wellbeing scientific care. Our insurance might have lined it if we had desperate to bypass that direction so it incredibly is incredibly helpful to contemplate it. bear in mind that all people of your infants have been with the aid of their own hell already and that they don't would desire to be in concern of their brother. basically yet another thought, you may call a close-by church and ask for help. If not the rest having somebody to speak to (for you) could be invaluable.

Have You thought of buying Him a telescope? There is plenty of computer work involved, and He can't get into too much trouble in the back yard, or with a supervised astronomy group.

Look around and try to find him some volunteer opportunities. There are alot of programs through churches, and some schools, also just about ANY charitable organizations are always looking for volunteers. You can always call Habitat for Humanity, or even the local hospitals and see what kind of volunteer options they have. And kudos to you for wanting him to get off his butt! :)
