i always always give it away, i do not liek keeping stuff i dunt like!! i usually ask the person if they want it haha

I thank the giver, who was nice enough to get it for me regardless of their tragic taste.
I then give the gift to someone else I know will like it or donate it to charity.
If they ask me where it is I tell them not to worry it's right where it should be!
(In other words, not in my house!!)

I put it in a special box with the other gifts I have received and dont like, and then when I know they are coming over, I get it out and display it. I even keep a piece of paper in the box that has a list of where to put the item so it is consistant with the last time I displayed it. If it is an article of clothing, I just say it accidentally got bleach spilled on it...

Tell the person, in a nice way. I like gift cards, or money. Of course, you may not get nothing next time, and maybe that is a good thing. LOL

Donate it...we have a special place in our garage where we keep things like that and tons of other stuff we don't need and then every now and again there are donation trucks go around and collect things for charity. It's kind fun! : )

I will give it away to someone else in case they need it. But i will remember those who gave me that horrible gift. It's the thought that counts too. =)

I dont give it away... All the gifts that I get but I dont like is put on display rather than giving or throwing it... (At least it seems that I like to display it...)

well depends on how sensitive the person is, you might consider just keeping it and putting it on display for half a year and then you can chuck it out you can almost alwasy think of an excuse then if they mention where it has gone.

Ask if they want it, or explain ever so nicely that you can't use it & tell them you will donate it to a childrens christmas collection drive.
