Unfortunately we have to have rules, even though some are unfair. Sometimes we have to compromise, so try not to get too upset. In a few years you will have left the hostel and then life will show you both greater freedom and further restrictions. Till then, play the game and take it in your stride. Nobody is perfect. if you stay in a hostel, then you follow 'house rules' or put up with the consequences.
