I know this will sound mean. My favorite thing about my father is that he is gone. He use to come around long enough to get my hopes up that he was going to be a father, then he would disappear again. I have not seen or talked to him in over a year and it has been a healing time for me.

My oldest brothers father is my surrogate father. He has been there for me during the good and bad times. He is who my brothers and sister are taking for breakfast for Father's Day. A father is someone that loves you no matter what. He keeps his promises to you. He wants what's best for you. He forgives you for the stupid things you say and do. He helps you with your homework. He is there when you need him and sorry when he can't be.

My favorite thing about my father is that he grows and becomes better every day. He is not stagnant believing the old way is the best way. He never admits he's wrong, but he will change how he does things when he realizes it's wrong. He is always there for his family and you can count on him when he gives his word. That is what I love about my father. I can trust him. Too many men now a days say things but never back them up with action. My dad is all about action to back up his words and that's the mark of a great man.

The best thoughts of my father are constantly renewed with new thoughts. My dad is "Mr. Fix-it" I do construction for a living and he and I are both firefighters. My best memories are always going over and seeing dad's new "fix-it" project and him smiling because he knows I'm going to fix it for him. He tries very hard, but doesnt quite get all of the aspects. OMG should have seen his shower surround was too funny. Had a 1/4 inch gap because he forgot to support the bottom of the tub. His "fix" was 2 tubes of caulk. I still pick on him daily. The other major thing is everyday I find myself saying them classic lines that he told me and I said I wouldnt be caught dead saying them to my kids.... Looks like I got a lot of dad in me after all.

His strength and good judgment. His love for his family. Never use force to make his point, but always ready to explain things. His generosity and ready for a joke or a laugh. His patience There is not one thing only. My father is the best man in the world and I'm proud to be his daughter.

He's the best dad ever! When I was a teen, all my friends wanted to hang out at my house. My parents are awsome.
My dad is 59 yrs old and still plays basket ball with my 3
brothers and I. We are all in our 30's. Kind of funny to see.

He is very fair minded. If he ever makes a promise he keeps his word. He is hard working and treats people with kindness. He would never take advantage of anyone.

My favorite thing was his sense of humor, that he stayed when others left, he taught us that hard work never hurt anyone, how to clean house and to never take it laying down, stand up for yourself. Many other things.
