OK, so i was surfin the web when suddenly I saw a popup that read:30 feet long.Over 300 dead.Based on a true story. After that that I looked up on google:giant crocodile in Africa. As it turned out, it was real!but then while i was skimming through it i came upon a real article that was in a newspaper and this is what it said:giant freshwater crocodile 6 meters long.6 meters? What About the 10 meter long giant?as for 300 deaths it turns out there was only about 30.Don't you hate that?not only are they lying to the public, they are also promoting the death of an extremely rare and beautiful animal. The only dam reason its killing those people is that its too large to catch fast moving prey.

Alligators and crocodiles are always reported to be bigger than they really are.

Every year, crocs in Africa kill an average of 300 people. It's not that they're too big to catch fast moving prey, it's that people are so much easier... hmm... do I want to take down a 1000+ pound wildebeest with horns and hooves or do I want to grab one of those soft kinda crunchy things that come down to the water and don't pay attention. Crocodilians don't chase food, they ambush it.

We're simply easier for the larger crocodilian species........

The crocodiles were there first. The humans invaded HIS space, and you want him dead for doing the only thing crocs know how to do, in the only home he has?

Sad, very sad.

It seems the news always sensationalizes and "accidentally" mislabels things like this....whether it be a "20 foot, 250 pound killer python" (which is actually a 7 foot boa), it always gets blown out of proportion, and the reptile is usually made out to be the evil beast. A true shame.

Were they not talking about the crocs in the river where the people depend on the river to fish, bathe, do their laundry, and fish? Movement in the water that sounds like "food" are the things that stimulate crocs to kill and eat. They often catch dogs that are prowling around the water, as well.

What are the people to do when a giant croc leaves the river and goes into the community nearby and kills adults and children? Kill the croc or feed him some more children? No, I don't hate to see a crocodile killed when it does something like that.

30 people, that's still pretty impressive.
