I have an acer laptop also, so if your driver is installed, the computer does the rest.
Maybe you camera does not work

Try downloading and reinstalling the driver for the camera

Did you install the proper software? That was my problem. If you don't have the software CD, you can go to the Acer site and download it.

Is its wiring connects with the laptop okay? Check it.
