What constitutes a Southerner?
Is it, as is generally believed by "Scousers", that every one south of the "Watford Gap" is a " Cockney B-----d?
Surely those of us that have a modicum of intelligence, do not generalise, on what part of the country that a person comes from, or how that affects one's intelligence, regardless, of the North/South divide!
Let's not get silly and enter into a meaningless debate,as there are undoubtedly highly intelligent people all over the British Isles!

I live in the north and am currently doing a degree so I'm far from stupid.

Generalisms, Stereotypical view I think!
I think 'Oop North' they do not integrate more with other races and or foreigners. They certainly have other ethnic/races there, but they seem to be divided into their own communities - this is particurlary true for the asian and white communities.
Down 'sarf' in London - we have a multi ethnic community, anything goes and people interact more. Sure like all places there are racial tensions/issues in some areas but overall we are more tolerant to others. On that point, I don't consider all northerners to be racist but perhaps less educated and tolerant to others races/religions.

i am a southerner but have found that northerners are much more friendly and not stuck up their own backsides.
