I would vote for Ron Paul.
I like him because he actually is following the Constitution, which is the Supreme Law of the land. All his votes reflect that too. And believe it or not there are lots of other Americans who still want the Constitution!

from CNN's poll after the debate...

Question 1:
Who do you think won the debate?

1. Ron Paul 60% 14290 votes
2. Rudy Giuliani 11% 2755 votes
3. John McCain 11% 2691 votes
4. Mitt Romney 9% 2265 votes
5. Mike Huckabee 4% 966 votes
6. Tom Tancredo 2% 385 votes
7. Sam Brownback 1% 240 votes
8. Duncan Hunter 1% 221 votes
9. Jim Gilmore 0% 98 votes
10. Tommy Thompson 0% 96 votes

Total: 24007 votes

Ron Paul for President in 2008!

I think Rudy is the best candidate because he turned around a broken New York City in 1994. Crime was out of control; no one felt safe even visiting the city. Huge defecit, high taxes. He reduced crime rate by nearly 70%, lowered taxes 23 times and the economy took off. He is very strong on protecting the US and would help our economy grow by reducing the size of runaway federal govt.

It' s a repeat of 2004 different faces same crap terms: anti-gay, anti-abortion, got my bible in my pocket next to my poker chips, oil company contribution receipts, girlfriend/gay lover's picture, strong military, I acknowlege what you're concerns are and I promise I'll adress it next election if it's something other than jaywalking. BTW do you have any Spanish speaking immigrant neighbors? Are they legal? Doesn't matter here's a button in spanish for them!!

Summing up politics in a nutshell here are your typical non-thinking no commonsense emotional American's perception of the two available candidates:

1. Vote for me lose your job with extended unemployment benefits, keep your gun, your soul and your cheating spouse's 8th bastard child cause no abortions but you can shoot her with no jail time. Nice guy I am I'll give your boss a tax break if he buys a Ferrari. However you have the opportunity to get one of those lower paying jobs the immigrants currently have so you can keep your trailer. Don't worry if we kill all our enemies. We'll make new ones. I don't listen to anyone.
Gas will cost you a lot of money but cheaper than milk.

or you can

2.Vote for the other guy and lose your gun, your soul, keep your job but you can abort your 8th kid from your cheating wife if you want but you'll get jail if you kill her. Also I'll give you a tax break if you move out of your trailer.
Gas will cost you a lot of money but still cheaper than milk.

That they're all wrong for the country in one way or another, except Rudy Giuliani who seems to have all the right ideas with only a couple exceptions (e.g., speaking out against the FairTax and not embracing tort reform as a method of lowering health care costs)

Although the current contenders are sufficient, I believe we have yet to have a strong, exciting candidate. Until Al Gore throws his hat in I will continue to have serious concerns about the future of our democracy and the state of the nation. I would encourage all who can, to please accept no substitutes and join our movement to draft Gore for 2008. There is an abundance of information on the web at this point. Please join us.

If she needs a job with the state or federal government, she ought to easily word for one, and get it on her very own advantages and talents. I doubt that a letter showing that she volunteered for a marketing campaign for 6 months could carry various weight, until she is going for a politically appointed place. i could think of that flair and skill and a willingness to artwork could get her extra.

All of the Dems are intolerable and unacceptable to me. Some of the Republicans may have possibilities. John McCain is definitely out.

I'll start with the Republicans:

Tancredo and Brownback are completely insane. I dont know what world theyre living in, but its not the one we live in.

Huckabee isnt totally crazy, but he wouldnt be a good president. Plus, I never know if hes being serious or joking around. He sends off a weird vibe.

Gilmore and Hunter might as well drop out now, they verge on being crazy and dont have a snowballs chance in hell.

McCain I used to like and respect, but hes also kind of on the crazy side now. I dont know what the hell happened to him. Used to be a repectable maverick with views worth listening to, now the only thing he seems to be able to do is repeat talking points and dodge questions.

Ron Paul I like, but I dont think hes the best choice. I think his calling is more in the legislative branch than in the executive one. He has good principles and the courage to stand for them, but I disagree with him alot with respect to fdomestic policy.

Giuliani has an ego the size of Texas, mocks people who disagree with him and blatantly capitalizes on 9-11 constantly, which I find disgusting. Not to mention that hes nowhere near qualified to be president. Being a mayor does not qualify someone for being president.

Romney is a total idiot. Anyone who says they want to double Guantanamo gets an automatic membership to the moron club in my book. Not to mention that his whole "I'm a lifelong hunter" nonsense was just stupid. Reminds me of John Kerry.

Tommy Thompson I like alot as a person, but I dont think hed be a good President. Hed be a good representative of the US abroad. He looks like an idiot at the debates, but in other settings hes very passionate and well-informed on the issues, its just that the conclusions he draws arent too brilliant.

And now for the Democrats:

Hillary Clinton is a calculating political robot. I wouldnt trust her with the White House. I get the feeling she'd put her own interests and her party's interests ahead of the country's interest. She a different personality for every group she speaks to, and I dont like that. Shes also prostituting herself to special interest groups on a daily basis, and that bothers me. We need to end the corruption, not bring in more.

Barack Obama is all show and no substance. Hes a smart guy, and hes charismatic and good at getting people worked up, but hes nowhere near being qualified to be President. He should wait a few more years.

Chris Dodd...Winner of the Golden Leash Award. Enough said.

Joe Biden is smart, and I agree with maybe half of what he says. But I like him for being a straight-shooter and saying what he thinks.

John Edwards is not what we need right now. He should stick to doing other things. Not presidential material. Hes also too sold out to special interest groups and such.

Mike Gravel is, in my opinion, the best choice we have. His record from the Senate is outstanding, his ideas are well-thought out and are good for both the short and long term. His only problem is that he loses his patience easily during the "debates" and doesnt understand the concept of soundbites. Other candidates use short powerful-sounding rhetoric, while Gravel opts for detailed answers and in-depth looks at the issues, which is kind of tough to do when Wolf Blitzer gives you only 30 seconds to talk. So he comes off as looking a bit crazy at the debates, but if you watch him in other settings, its much more reflective of the way he really is.

Bill Richardson is what we call a "resume candidate", and an impressive one at that. Smart, likeable guy with a great resume, I'd have to see more from him. I think hed be a good VP, not so sure about president though.

Dennis Kucinich I like very much as a person, but hes just not presidential material. He belongs in the Congress I think, not in the White House. And hes a bit too idealistic for my taste.
