ive just been looking through some of the McCann questions and it made me wonder, if the police had questioned gerry and kate yet as suspects

they always say most victims know their attacker

Yes they have and it turned out the last time they checked on the three kids it was 50 minutes time period (and not 30 minutes as they had said earlier). They also left one of the shutters open as they considered them eating out as akin to being in the garden while the kids were in the house.

Good question, but with all the media stuff going on around them they probably do not get a chance. I wonder are Gerry and Kate doing all this to prevent revealing the truth of what really happened that awful night. You may get slaughtered by some of yahoo answers, but I personally think this whole thing is very shifty. For some strange reason I don't trust the parents, but lately I don't trust Gerry more than Kate. Maybe you and I are the only ones.

I am so sorry that I cannot answer your question. I am also sorry that it has to be asked and I am further sorry for the fact that little Maddie is still missing.

Okay, so I am just a person sitting at home, watching the News, and discussing with my husband certain News items.

My concerns were, at that time that

a. Neither parent actually looked too distressed.
b. Questioning of the parents by the Portuguese Police was minimal.

Then a while later the Portuguese Police interviewed and named an English person who was in the area at the time - but this was after a lot of derision from the media. Were they just trying to find the 'scape goat?'

My concerns now are:

1. On insurance and donated money, the couple are off jaunting around Europe on the holiday that most of us would like to have but very few can afford. An audience with the Pope? - not many people get that one! And when you really look at the News items - do Mum and Dad really look all that distressed?

2. Both of these people are supposed to be educated! Who would leave a child of that age in the house when they went out?

I will not slaughter you - I think that your way of thinking compares with my own - I just hope that we are both wrong!

i presume the parents have been questioned but i dont know
what i do know like you is that you dont leave small children alone in an apartment.

never mind poor Maddie a child under two can get sick or into difficulties and if you are not there how can you hear them
and at the risk of repeating myself i wonder if they were not well educated(?) wealthy and socially stable would they be getting the response from the authorities and the media that they are.

heaven help all the other families whose children go missing and arent getting this exposure

I know little of the situation, just a brief look at it.
I can assure you that they have been questioned. Maybe not explicitly as "suspect", but always, always, always (or almost anyway) the authorities look at the immediate members of family when these investigations take place.

I will add, I was stymied that a seemingly well educated, and well to do couple would leave their three young childern, 3 really young children, alone in a hotel room.
That really baffled me. I know people make stupid mistakes... but leaving babies alone? That one doesn't seem to need a great deal of education to figure out. Maybe they forgot the nanny wasn't with them.

of direction they might desire to be puzzled, for a minimum of endangering their little ones. incredibly everyone seems to be far less possibly to preserve the mummy and dad than to easily slag off every person who asks no count number if it incredibly is nice to pass away them on my own at nighttime while you pass out for some hours. Theirs became no longer a single lapse of judgement, yet a non-provide up act of ignore as they went out nighttime after nighttime... The Police are staring at this as a disappearance, simply by fact they as yet do no longer seem to have the potential to discover something to incriminate every person, although, you could desire to ask why the mummy and dad not on time related to the police, why maximum of folk have been interior the home damaging evidence. keep in mind, the Police ought to tutor the case, think of on the subject of the case related to the living house of M. Barrymore, six years in the past, 9 human beings at a occasion, one died with undesirable injuries, evidence snarled, no situations further, Ohh and there have been various allegations of freemasonry involvement in that one too.

I would imagine that given the circumstances that both Parents were questioned.
I remember that Gerry was at the Police station for 14 hours & Kate for 8 hours. The Mccann Fans say that they were being briefed (Yeah, Right, course they were).
I assume that they were both cleared of any suspicion though.
Their behaviour is very strange, especially the Father, cant get my head around his behaviour at all.

Dont take any notice of Piltdown, he says the same insulting thing about anyone who questions the Mccann's.
I'm begining to think he is an Academic & Career Failure LOL. He must spend hours patrolling this site looking for Mccan questions, A bit sad really.
P Man, BELT UP, until you have something constructive to say.

I really don't understand this pro and anti McCann thing. How can anyone be anti people whose daughter has been abducted? And why would the McCanns keep the story in the public domain, as they do, if they had anything to do with it? We can't judge how people appear to be acting in these circumstances,we haven't been in their shoes and hopefully never will. I suspect there is a little bit of inverted snobbery here sometimes, the couple appeared to have everything, status. good looks(Kate anyway) and a lovely family. Some people have a chip on their shoulder, born from envy and resentment. I just feel so sorry for them and pray that everything will work out in the end though it does seem more unlikely with every day that passed.

Keep 'em coming PP.
These are the questions that need answering.
Unlike the McCanns, we're not running away from the truth.
So yes, I think the Portuguese Police have questioned them but I feel the British Police should if they haven't already.

According to press reports, they spent a whole day at the police station soon after Madeleine disappeared - presumably being quizzed about their own actions as well as all known contacts etc.

I hope they find her.
