$300 already sticking out of the slot. What would you do?
(This actually happened to me)

Say Thank You into the camera.

I'd take the money, and make note of the time. And maybe the bank could find out who made the last transaction at this particular ATM. If they can, I'd most likely give the money back. While $300 isn't really alot of money it can make a difference to some people. I know as I just lost $300 on a trip I took. Thank God for plastic. I needed to use the plastic to get back home.

Given the fact that they all use cameras at ATMs, I would say that whoever used the machine last was on camera and if it were me that left the $, I would sure appreciate knowing someone would turn it back in.
Thing is, you see, is once the money is dispensed, the transaction is done, so really the money is up for grabs, for whoever gets it.
$300 isn't all that much, but to someone who is on limited resources, it could be a fortune.
Still, if they are that damn careless, there should be a pretty steep price for being stupid.
So...I'd do my civic duty to educate them and take the money and run. LOL.

Take the $300 and call the bank. Try to have them locate the person who left it there. It might have been a really hot chick who would be eternally grateful to you. The opportunity of a lifetime. Woo hoo!

If you take it and act like it never happened, the bank will have your image on camera and before you know it the police will be knocking at your door. So instead of the possibility of rolling around in the sheets with a honey you could be stuck behind bars and a cold, damp jail cell. Which would you prefer?

Take it into the bank and ask if someone is missing their money from an ATM. I am too honest to keep it. I wouldn't want someone keeping my $300.

I'll take the $300 and report it to the bank.

I'd take it for safe keeping and report it to the bank who services the atm. If they do nothing, then keep it. How odd. What did you do?

Wow, someone must have really been in LaLa Land to have forgotten their money!

wish I could say I would turn it in but I think I may keep it. So they have a crummy image of you from the ATM camera. Hard to find who I am from that. I wouln't have put my card in yet.

This happens in US? Here in UK if you don't withdraw your money from the slot within 10 seconds, the machine draws it back in.

lol yea people just take it you will all end up like the people that took the bag of money that fell off the armored truck in new york they went to jail for theft for not turning it in. and since all atms have cameras now it would be smarter to turn it in

Take the money into the bank and turn it in...they could track the last one to use the ATM and give it back to the rightful owner.
