It could be a DVT, same thing happened to my dad. Dont massage it!!!
Get to a doctor, as if it is a DVT it needs to be treated now!!!!!

if it just happened,or doesn't last very long out of the week..it must be the muscles of course...but due to spasms..like those terrible muscle pains you get at night. it happens when you dont get the vitamins you need in your body..mostly Potassium and calcium.
