Often single frames of an advert placed in films etc.

A message that you don't realize you're being told but are. For example someone might be saying a sentence backwards or sped up so you can't really hear it properly, but supposivly you still take it in and act on it.
I am unsure if it really works or not, but thats what it is supposed to be at any rate,.

They are visual messages on a screen but are only there for a split second. It is too quick for your eyes to recognise it as a message, but the subconscious part of your brain has absorbed the message without you knowing it.They were at one time considered as being an advertising tool but I believe they have been banned in this respect.

they started in drive-in movie theaters in america with cinemas putting messages in films thru splicing in a movie you see a "still picture" by actually seeing seven frames but you only actually "see" one so they took out some frames and put in messages like "go buy some popcorn" and "aren't you thirsty for a nice cold coca cola?" It worked amazingly well and thousands of people got out of their cars and went to the snack bar. your brain can read the message even if your eyes didn't see it. Then in the 60's it moved to big media manely in magazine advertisements for booze with sex scenes airbrushed in ice cubes. if you pic up any magazine and look at a booze ad with liquor in a glass, you'll notice that the ice cubes aren't real their painted--take a close look with a magnifying glass and you still might see some illegal stuff put in there! have fun!

Messages that are subliminal basically, so you are not aware you can hear them or they are sub-consciously affecting you. Like messages in songs when you play them backwards.

Messages hidden, that are used to make your mind think, and maybe causing you to actually do what it say 's .
the best example that i can think of is in a episode of The Simpsons, where Bart and his friends become a boy band lol
