OK, I am not hoping to be the same. But does someone go to that beach, or I will find myself alone on a deserted beach?

you could (you're only 15 kms from the channel) but the beaches are completely different from Nice unfortunately... Rather stay in Nice too to be honest..:-)

P.S. you will have a lot of space to yourself..:-)

At least, there is sand in the beach near Caen and you do not have to worry so much about skin cancer...

In summer the beaches are full of people, children playing, swimmers, sailcars, and other tourists come to enjoy the sun and the sea. Unless of course the weather is bad.
