on a mobile all you do is choose a name and press call.you dont dial the number to be able to remember it .

Don't really remember phone numbers anymore - used to, no need nowadays.

No I can't remember one number in full.As you say they are programmed in the phone so you don't use the number ,just the name.I don't use a mobile much. As I am at home more than out I use my land line more,and that has a similar system of a phone book where you dial by name.t

I don't talk on mobile phones much,but i had a very dear friend pass away in 2001 & I still start to dial her # now & then to check in & share a joke or some gossip like I always did before she passed!
I remember alot of old phone #'s,just by thinking of the ppl they belonged to.

Honestly I remember #'s after dialing them 2 or 3 times,so yes the #'s are in my head even after I stop dialing them anymore...

I only know my husband, mom and sisters number. Anybody else is dialed by name. I really hope my phone is never destroyed because I would have no clue how to reach anybody else.
