Yes, always. My answers may not always be the best, but why would it hurt voting for yourself? The asker probably thinks that none of the answers are good enough (why he put it on vote) . . . so it doesn't really matter who wins "best answer". I might as well try to get the 10 points anyway :)

It's much better to win best answer because the asker selected my answer. But yes, I've voted for my answer if I think I gave a good answer. Unless I see that somebody else gave a better answer than me, then I vote for that other person.

I do, but because everyone does it too it's hardly easy to win the 10pts by just one vote, so if i do win the 10 pts its most likely have been voted by others too.

Never, because I'm interested in what people think of my answers. But there's nothing wrong with voting for yourself. It's not illegal or immoral. If you were running for school office, would you vote for your opponent?
