We are nothing but one of the species of the animals or living things in this universe. Our relations with the opposite sex is entirely is an instinct behaviour. All the systems in this universe are evolved and organised naturally by the nature, and nature evolved all these with a specific reason or cause for the advantage of the growth and conservation. Reproduction is one of the main vehicle to maintain the above, hence the human beings are attractedtwards opposite sex by instinct. But why nature took that much sriousness to maintain its conservation and growth is a mystery which can be answered by God only.

Hi, I would imagine it's 'instinct' and a need for survival of the species, but not all human beings are attracted to the opposite sex so clearly if it is 'instinct' it isn't innate in all.

Mostly instinct with a side of learned behavior.

Mental programming determines a person to get their genes passed by WHATEVER means necessary, while learned behavior instructs the individual on how to convince his/her potential mate to LET them pass their genes willingly.

great question do we learn these feelings of sex love anger or is it something we learn frued would say it would be learned most homosexuals will say you are born this way but in the long run it is always the what society says is prudent we are a lower species these rats are far more efficient we are limited by our taste touch hearing sight and smell

it is definitely not a learned behavior. and it aint got nothing to do with being human or not. mating ranks rite up there with eating, breathing etc... the only difference is with mating we have a choice. unlike the homosexual communtity that does the born that way or there is a gay gene. which not only are ppl not born gay there isnt a gay gene. biologically men are attracted to women and vice versa.

This question is very much related to science then sociology and then psychology.See how?
Science Says : As a child growth take place properly his/her development process passes through various stages. In this harmonal activities plays very important role. These are the harmones which gives a human various stages of age from child to teen then teen to yonger, then younger to mature one and last one is old age. When a child passes the age of a teen and just on to touch younger stage special chemicals regulates physiological processes in males the harmone called TESTOSTERONE maintained many masculine features and in females the harmone called ESTROGEN which bring femine features. These harmones with other cause specific changes such as the rate of growth of body , sexual maturation and so on. As features of younger age arise in both sexs like breast in females, pubic hairs in both sexs etc their mental condition also passes through various chemical changes that bring them attraction towards opposite sex.

Sociology says : That we are living in a society and both male and female are integral pert of its development process. Here we see from ancient times to today both man and woman are living together with care, love, consensus, and fulfilling eachothers needs. From our childhood we can see how a male/female desprately need opposite sex to live in this world because it is very difficult to live alone the life after forties in that age a man and his wife are best friends. ok You can say that why a male/female life with same partner then answer is that one can live with a person of identical features thought and needs wether physical or moral etc To give identity to +ive there is necessity of -ive. With male n female mating life cycle and world goes on and on.

Psychology Says : that we are living in a society where we see every where that man and women are complemantry to each other. From our teen age we start to understand male female relation , what happen with their mating

It is the natural thing to want to procreate. Every living creature has this purpose embedded in them. With out procreation the species goes extinct.
