They trust you have will be learned as you grow you will learn how to trust but also it does have to be earned by the other person. No matter how hard you try to learn to trust someone if they repeatedly show they are untrustworthy you will not be able to trust them.
So with each person in a relationship these two parts do go and grow together.

I think that *learned* is the only way it can be anything! Our learning helps us decide what needs be in (or out) of our lives. Learning enables us to decide what kind of character to allow into our lives... and what kind to disallow. Trust is earned... but it has to have a quality list to measure against. The only way we can figure it out is through taking chances and making mistakes... learning :)

i think trust is something that needs to be built up to, but if it is broken i think it can be repaired, that is one can learn to trust again. trust can be a choice - the choice to believe your significant other when he/she tells you where they've been, the choice to trust that he/she truly loves you. when you look at it as a choice, then of course it can be learned.

Trust is inherently instilled in us as children. It is distrust that, unfortunately, has to be learned.
