they talk alot about having nice cars and diamonds and crap, just wonder how much they make/are worth?

2. JayZ - $340 million
3. Russel Simmons - $325 million
4. Damon Dash - $200 million
5. Neptunes - $155 million
6. Dr Dre - $150 million
7. Ice Cube - $145 million
8. Eminem - $110 million
9. 50 Cent - $100 million
10. Jermaine Dupri - $60 million

These guys are on top because they all do more than just rapping. Many of them produce as well, own clothing lines, record labels, star in movies, etc...

Your average rapper makes at least 6 figures a year.

It depends, most rappers starting out don't make much, because the label takes the larger portion to recoup the money they invested in their careers. It also depends if they write their own material, or do their own beats because if they don't the person that does it for them will usually take more of their money than the artist. Not to mention that they have to pay for those expensive million dollar videos most artist like to make. The young artist tend to make most of their money off of going on tour.

they make a lot because 9/10 people are brainwashed by MTV and such to buy their albums. They get a percentage from each album sold, plus merchandise (t-shirts and crap), and MTV or someone usually puts them in movies too. So yeah, a lot!
