What is the average IQ of a BB viewer.?

Thought I would ask this question to follow on with my thought that most BB supports are very naive.

I expect that most of my comments about the show being positive will come from those with a low IQ, and the negative comments from those of a higher IQ like myself.

Not being judgemental at all............ Sorry I am.

I actually looked at the study questions, and saw that they asked about certain political events that the questioners apparently thought were important. The study was about political awareness, not IQ. My IQ is above average, but I do not know several answers, because I don't care enough about them to remember. Just because someone else thinks it's important to know who won the New Hampshire primary doesn't mean I do. I don't care about the primaries...I can't even vote in my state's primary, since I am registered as an Independent. Once there is a candidate, then I pay attention. I bet Dems coudn't tell you anything about what happened in Benghazi, had they asked about that. Of course, they didn't. So I reject the premise of the study.

Interesting question. It'd be quite easy to figure out as well, get everyone watching the show to do a short IQ test during an ad break. I'm surprised they haven't done it already.

The show is tat, but it is a form of escapism. And if you're clever all the time, watching something as dumb as BB can be quite a relief. The sentient brain can switch itself off, or amuse itself elsewhere, while the body continues basic life functions by itself.

Then again, should I really be answering this question, as I don't even have a TV any more (primarily because of the ubiquity of reality shows.)

(ps I'm liking the responses so far, particularly the defensive ones. "I'm clever and I watch it so you must be stupid, don't you dare draw conclusions about people". Double standards, anyone?)

BB is entertainment - not to everybody's taste but entertainment nevertheless - and IQ is not really relevant to enjoying or disliking a specific medium of entertainment. It is all down to personal taste. I have no interest in watching a group of white women interacting with each other, but if it was a group of Black ladies, then I would probably be watching every second.

I have a high iq. Im not a brain box but Im above average and I watch BB. I also so know pharmacists and lawyers who do to. None of us are mad about it, we dont rush home to watch it, or watch the other bb related shows, we just watch it if its on and have nothing better to do.

Well, your theory has just flown out the window. I have a pretty high IQ, a 2:1 B.A Honours Degree in Psychology and I watch BB. This is true in case you think I have made it up. I like watching BB because it is a good way to watch human behaviour in a confined space, to see how they interact, how groups form and regroup, etc. etc. Happy now....

I don't know the average IQ but i could tell you that it's probably high or not. I am have a high IQ but i don't watch that. Yet i do have some people i know who has high IQs but they seem to watch it every time. I think it depends on boredom or self respect. I make my guess that it isn't that high. I'd say about ninety six or something.

Personally mine is 127. I am intelligent enough to realise its only a game show and is just entertainment. If people dont like it, they are the ones who are unintelligent cos they cant change channel.
