I'm an atheist, but let me explain how this is supposed to work...
Don't be concerned who believes in you. God may be in your heart, but to be effective, He has to be your guiding light. Believe He will lead you down the right path. Tale a leap of faith, baby. Leave the others behind and jump into the 'Hands of God'
or not...

Only those who do not believe in the omnipresence of god alone won't belive in you.Any true Hindu would belive in you as he knows that god is omnipresetn and cannot be disl;odged from any atom even.
the very life of an atom is God .If the life in the atom stop working , the whole universe would cease to exist and would vanish as in a magic .
for a himndu god becasue of hs omnipresence , is never out of sight of man and man is never out of sight pof god .
In the case of other religions , the gods makes enquiries with them after they take them to heaven to ascertain what they did in their life - that too unnecesarilyas they are not punished fo rtheir deeds if hey believe inthose gods.
But the hindu Gods do not make any enquiries with any one since they know by her omnipresence what every one is doing every moment .they do not punish anyman for his actions what ever they coul dhave been.Their ownkarma puniches them and he gods do not interfere in the processof dharma which coles out the reaction f the Karma.the principle is as scientific as the one which says hat evfery action has an opposite and equal reaction.karma beoing he action of man ,it has its equal and opposite reaction.even the Omni[otent gods undergo suffer this reaction .The is no exemption as in science itself .
the Himdu philosophy ios so veryaccurate logical and scientific .
No one has got to go anywhere to see god .Any one and eery one cansee /god around himself and in himself too., if he understands what god is .since it will e too much to be reporucing the verses from the Bhagavad -Gita , I am not doing it as I have done a lot times in my answers to a numer of questions touching this aspect .

Possessions are to be treasured . Not to be shared . It's your personal; God .
See , it is something like, fellas do not share their love conquests the other night, with their buddies . They savor the moments .
Savor the God of your hearts

If you want people to believe in you, you gotta first live among them.
Chuck your imaginary friend.
