he'd be the one on the verge of breaking Hank Aaron's record instead of Barry Bonds? Also,do you think Hank Aaron would be acting the same way if it were Griffey Jr?

Simply, yes and no. He was breaking all sorts of records for his age. Remember back in the day? Griffey, A-Rod and Randy Johnson on the same team....how did they not make the playoffs more often. It was the trade to the reds that cursed him. He's still and always will be my favorite player. He was not only great with his bat, but with his glove too, winning gold gloves for a CF. He'd pretty much be at where A-Rod will be in a few years numbers wise, and would be in the chase. Hank Aaron i'm sure respects him b/c he isnt a jerk and has respect for the game and the fans.

I answer this same question last week, so I will make it short.

If he hadn't been hurt he and bonds would both be chasing this record now.

Jr. is 5 years younger then bonds.
At his current pace bonds won't make 800, even if he tried to play next year.

All of the big hitters(Aaron, Mays, Sosa, Bonds, big Mac) have decrease batting ave, but increased there homers in their mid 30's early 40's ( no it is not the roids, men get more muscle, and less speed around at this time)

If Jr. can stay healthy for 5 more years, and stays at his current pace, he will be around 600 this year, and 800 in 2012, at a rate of 40 homers a year, which around where is is when not hurt.

No Aaron has stayed out of the spot light since he retired, and said years ago that he wouldn't be part of any hoopla over some one breaking is record. He went thur to much and that his being a part of something like that would only make it worse on who ever caught him.

Without the injuries, and having been traded to the Reds, Griffey would almost certainly be in the race. Without the injuries, and staying in Seattle with the move to Safeco, he's probably 100 back or so.

Personally, I think Aaron is more upset that his record is about to be broken than the fact that it's Bonds breaking it. In every interview, he avoids and grumbles at questions about people (Bonds, for now) chasing his record, but is beaming from ear to ear and will talk all day about his accomplishments and glory days.

You can't really blame him, but I feel that no matter who was about to break this record, Aaron would be cold towards the whole situation.

I could only wish it was Ken Griffey Jr. He's a very likeable guy. Everyone would be into it. I have no doubt about it. I believe Hank Aaron would be there to see it.

i never liked the fact that griffey left seattle because he was a great player over there and is my all time favorite player of any sport.

his injuries cut alot of his seasons short. he lost atleast 5 good years of baseball. he was still playin in some of those years but as anyone knows it takes a while to get over an injury.

i think he would have been chasing that all time historic record with bonds and it would have been great. i like bonds as a player and i would have like to seen the difference in the media between the two players. baseball is a game of cheaters. from everything they do. trying to steal signs the usage of pin tar to betting on the game to fixing a game.

he could be there but probaly wouldnt

right now he has about 580 HR
if he didnt have injuries he would probaly be a 680 and have a chance

henry aaron wouldnt have a problem with griffey. thats because there was no steroid stuff with grifffey and hes a clean player whose nice to be around. he does'nt go to the media and scream at the m but is actualy nice. no steroid allegations have been around griffey either so...

Of course. He has almost 600 now with all the injuries. Mark McGwire lost a few seasons to injuries too.

Aaron is sulking a bit, but I don't blame him.
