i have lived in the same 2nd floor apartment in a three story building for the last 10 years and 8 months. i never had a mouse problem before. now suddenly they are all over my apartment and my neighbors say they have them too. there has been no construction or demolition within a 3 block radius and the only change in the area has been that the people below my apartment moved out last week and new tenants moved in above my apartment last month. the weather has been warm and fairly stable for monthes, no new animals in the area to drive the mice inside. i don't know why they are suddenly here but after finding one in my clothes draw i want them DEAD and or gone. what is the best way to get rid of my uninvited furry guests?
i have no pets or children, i don't keep cerial or other such dry storage food item (except bread) and plants are out because i'm allergic.
how do i kill these little sob's, i think they are making me sick, i have had a raspy cough and runny nose since they invaded.

go to a sporting goods store that deals in trapping suppies and get some fox gland lure. It's mice nautual enemy and the they will flee. Take a Qtip and dip it in and put it around the outside of the house you can put it in the house but it stinks something awfull. Worked great for me

I put First Bite or De-con out every year just to make sure I don't have any mice and so far it has worked. I like either of them because they come in packets or containers and you can put them around in un-noticeable places. If you have one getting into your clothes drawer, I'd put a packet behind or under the dresser. Also one under the kitchen sink or places like that. The good thing is, when the mice die, they dehydrate so there is usually no smell. They carry it back to the nests.
You can get these products at Wal-Mart or almost any store.
Good Luck!!!

WoW! You better call the Pied Piper. Seriously though you can buy a rat and mice killer, which is treated corn. It is green in colour, and you leave little containers of it,in cupboards, under furniture, anywhere where you think the little horrors will be.The mice love the taste, but then they get very, very, dehydrated, seek water, and die.I've only ever had a couple of mice, and the corn was devastating. I guess your hardware or food store would sell it.I think it was called- Rat-rid. Good Luck!

Notify the landlord immediately.[ you and all your neighbors ] - he must take action, so ask him to notify you when arrangements are made.
If they are in all the units, all of you should complain, and landlord should get a pro.
If he doesn't notify you in 5-7 days, notify the county.
