Anyone that has a 'worldview' or 'perspective' is schizophrenic.
Non-schizophrenic people have beliefs and ideals, not views,
points of view, worldviews, or perspectives.

Because social darwinism eliminates the origin of a true being that created everything. Its reasoning is that it just happened and animals envolved. While most religious perspectives rely on the holiness of one supreme being or creator and that beings are created by that supreme being for a purpose. They are in conflict because the religious perspective doesn't believe that things just happen for no reason and that animals have envolved soley for survival for advantage. They want to believe that there is a greater purpose through all this. I don't know which is right or wrong, I wasn't there so I am not sure.

A human being that can deny the truth that on the material level things evolve and another denies the existence of spiritual activities what do you have but a great big denial and one that you cant seem to overcome. Both are true realities that compliment one and the other. It is our finite point of view that doesn't see things beyond the argument. Beyond the narcissistic gratification derived from the stimulus of the conversation and the addiction to it is what keeps it locked in futility as to a real solution, well for some the real solution is not in the reduction of the tension for a good conversation but one that brings up the more infantile of our natures in need of a good warm bottle of milk.

I only know the Christian perspective.
From my understanding, its because Social Darwinism proposes that the level a person rises to in society is determined by their genetic background and that government/society should not intervene in assisting the weak, impoverished or diseased. This practice would lie in direct opposition to the Christian notion of charity and philanthropy.

Religious views developed in our early period of development and we don't have any evidence of them being true/false. But we have insecurites throughout life , however powerful we are. religion promises a better tomorrow, which is same as our hope/ dream. Also it warns us against certain actions which means a bad tomorrow. We don't want that. So many people follow religion to have a better tomorrow.
Darwinism is a theory proposed by a human unlike GOD (as suggested by religions). So it's heretic to religions who believe in absolute supremacy of God. The religions don't want to limit powers of GOD through certain laws as it means there will be a limit to our hopes inncluding heaven, rebirth and fear of death. Also there is no central controlling authority according to Darwin which isn't acceptable to authorities
This all resulted in religions opposing Darwinism

secularism is based on facts established by observation and testing to establish a single view. religious perspective is faith-based and is totally self directed and cannot be proven under any circumstances since no two perspectives are equal, and no two people will agree under all conditions, preferring, instead, to reach a compromise to achieve an acceptable view which cannot be tested, nor repeated identically under all conditions, using different people.
in short, one works, the secular view (stability), while the other is always changing (religious conflict, often turning to violence to impose one on the other).
