my oranda has been put aside into a quarentine tank (plastic container floating in fishtank) to avoid contamination with other fish, i think it may have sceptimecia or slimes disease, though the fins arent striked red. Could i add normal sea-salt or is there a special fish salt that i have to add?

You can also use table salt (that doesn't have iodine or anti-caking ingredients), canning salt, kosher salt, or rock salt. These are all NaCl, and the ones you get from the supermarket will be cheaper than the aquarium salt.

What makes you think your fish has septicemia? Usually this will have red streaks through the body and fins. If the fish is producing a lot of slime, it may have a parasite. Adding a small amount of salt (1 tablespoon per gallon) won't hurt your fish, but if the problem is something that salt won't treat effectively, you should make sure you have a good diagnosis so he gets the treatment he might need.

They sell freshwater/aquarium salt in pet stores. Don't use sea salt, as it has different trace elements that may or may not be good for your oranda. The regular aquarium salt is cheaper, anyway. =)
