Good finally. She has done so many bad things.

I think it's BS. I think the judge is making an expample of her. None of us regular folk would spend 45 days in jail for what she did. We wouldn't. And the fact that the Sheriff let her out on Home Arrest should not make the 45 day sentence retroactive. It was the Sheriff's mistake. I am not a fan of Paris Hilton, by any means. But, I am a fan of what is right and fair. I know most people hate Paris, but have some compassion. I would agree with a 14 day sentence, work release, weekends served, but I think that judge is out of line. It's a ridiculous sentence.

She really is getting so old to me I could scream. I thought it was funny that the spoiled brat yelled and screamed and cried and yelled for mommy when she realized she would have to actually do her sentence after all. I have to wonder if it will change her at all. Probably not, she'll get all the special treatment she can possibly get. Did it change Martha Stewart? I don't even get why the full sentence was halved in the first place. That might have made a tiny little change in her brain.

I do not hate the woman because I'm not a loser and i don't know her. She should only serve her time in jail ( full term) because drinking and driving should be regarded as a serious offense. I think its really stupid and evil when people cheer for her to go to jail because they hate the person and not the crime she committed.

Considering that she had many chances to avoid this punishment leading up to this final incarceration, you can't really pity her. She had a DUI and an a suspended license then got another ticket and still had a suspended license. She was on probation and was supposed to do community service as her punishment, and she never did it. She was supposed to sign up for a course on why not to drink or somethig, and she never did that either. The last time she was stopped (still without a license and on probation) was the last straw. She had no regard for the law and got the book thrown at her.

She should have never been released in the first place, and she defintely should have never had her sentence reduced. Spending 45 days reduced to 23 days is absurd for what she did. Any one of us would have done 6 to 18 months in jail.

nice to see a judge that can't be bought....As far as being made an example of...No Way...Like the other girl said in an earlier an sew...she did not follow the terms of her earlier sentence which is violation of probation, a serious offense. Damn...Libby got two years cause he had a bad memory.. Maybe she can get Bush to pardon her...like I'm sure he'll do to Libby

Paris Hilton belongs in jail like everyone else. She didn't go to jail because of this driving stuff she went to jail because she violated her probation. If you violate your probation it doesn't matter what you did to get there... you got yourself there. My mother was in prison for almost two years because the courts made a mistake(They sent her the wrong court date) and considered her in violation of her probation because of it.

It is good that she is serving her debt to society as intended however, putting her in jail, taking her out, and putting her back in isn't right. It's no wonder she's loosing it.

She's dumb, but she surely doesn't deserve 23 days in jail. Perhaps just 2 weeks?
