Who first tamed and bred wild horses?

My friend and I have a case of beer riding on this. My friend Dan says that the Turks were first. I say the Mongols. Dan's girlfriend Denise says we're both wrong. Please help us decide who wins this little contest of ours. Thanks in advance. Cheers!

The earliest evidence for the domestication of the horse comes from Central Asia and dates to approximately 4,500 BC. Archaeological finds such as the Sintashta chariot burials provided unequivocal evidence that the horse was definitely domesticated by 2000 BC.
