does anyone know how to install like a DVD drive on windows XP...something like that anyways?

Just connect the DVD drive onto the port and install the drivers/softwares in the installation disk provided with your DVD drive. nothing else.

If you are new to computer hardware and installations I would have some one that is well knowledge about the computers do the other installation. Once you open the computer case the computer is very sensitive to Electro Static Discharge (ESD).
It only takes around 5V to blow a computer chip witch the human hand isn't capable of feeling. If you still want to continue on make sure that you have touched something that is grounded or wear a ESD strap witch you can get at your local computer service retail place (Best Buy).

Lay the computer down on a hard service. Make sure that the computer isnt pluged in to any devices. Now make sure your ESD strap is connected to the fan port of the computer or you have touched something that is grounded. Using your fingers or a screwdriver unscrew the thumb screws on the back side of the case. The lid will pop off. Now there should be an expansion bay under neath the existing CD drive. Punch out the plastic piece on the front of the computer, slide the drive on guide rails into that spot. Using the supplied cables that came with the DVD drive plug the cord into the DVD drive and the Motherboard. Close the computer up. Screw the screws back on. Plug in the computer install the DVD drive cd in the old CD drive then the DVD drive should be good to go. You will have to get a program from Cyber DVD or someone however to watch a DVD.
