When I moved into my apartment they had a special on not having to come up with a security deposit. What will this mean when I move out? Will I have to just pay out of pocket for any/all damages?

even if you payed a deposit they could still charge what they like. I had a ridiculous fine of 3000$ for a dirty fridge, seriously. do you think my fridge was that bad? no.

it actually never made it to collections........hmmm I wonder why.

ask around and get the scoop from your neighbors about how they treat every one there.

I bet you already signed huh?

Yes. You're responsible for any damage beyond "normal wear and tear."

Even if you have a security deposit and you do more damage to the place than the deposit covers you're liable for the balance.

your not responsible for any normal damages after 6 months unless you or someone you let into the home damaged it beyond normal wear and tear.. ie punched the wall, cat scratched the carpet up... Get a renters rights book.
