Kind of hard to narrow it down to just one, so how about a multiple choice?
Mother Teresa, for her groundbreaking work among India's lowest castes.
Margaret Thatcher, the first female British Prime Minister.
Queen Victoria of England, for being on the throne during what was probably the most well-known artistic era in history (the Victorian Era).
Honorable mentions might include: Amelia Earhart, Indira Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth II, Nancy Reagan, and many more.

Elizabeth the First. Without her the Protestant Reformation might have been crushed by Spain and not just European but world history radically different.

I believe Hilary Clinton, She knew her husband cheated on her yet she still holds their marriage together even after him getting out of office. She knew that not all marriages was easy but went for it anyhow and now she is running for office which is great. I think she has what every American woman wants the power, Fame and glory.

I wouldn't label Mother Theresa as the most INFLUENTIAL.
I would say Virgin Mary or Queen Elizabeth I.
