i know they have different levels of sex offender registry, but I don't think that an 18 yr. old guy should be considered a "high risk" sex offender ''cause he had sex with his 16 yr. old girlfriend and her mother didn't like him so she had him arrested. when a community is told that a registered sex offender has moved into the area, they are not usually given any details

Rosey...I have had to deal with sexual offenders in my work..many yrs. ago. One man will not live to see daylight..he got 40 yrs. no parole!!! As for castration..it would not stop a pedophile or a rapist. They will use instuments..etc. anything for the thrill and degration!!! A pedophile cannot be cured..that is a scientific fact..also statistics show..a pedophile will escalate his or her attacks on children. Many others actually become serial killers of children...the rape..no longer is enough! A pedophile has no right to ever be released period! Many would say..well where would we put them all..or we need more jails..or the expense..etc. etc. excuses!!! There are many people in our prisons..who can be released..who have served long sentences for robbery etc. some of these people are so old..what danger to society are they? But our system would rather allow a pedophile to get probation for his 1st sentence..then a yr at most for his 2nd. Then oh now if they get him..he has molested so many children and ruined their lives..then we still do not give life!!! What the hell is wrong with this picture. After working with the detectives on the above case I mentioned I learned so much..
A man say 40 to 50 who is a pedophile has in one form or another molested at least 200 children in that time! If that is all he does..others as I stated escalate to serial murders of children. There are many books on this. I have read many. I feel 1st offense done deal!!!! You rot in that cell!!! I am so upset that we have stricter laws for burlary..than we do for the saftey of our children. What is wrong with this...? People need to get way more involved! It could be ypur child..yur grandchild..or any child..this crime is awful in so many ways...right up there with murder. A pedophile ruins the innocence of their victim..not to mention all the physical and mental pain..that may never be treated properly..so a life of the child is ruined..and the childs family. Oh I could go on and on...!

I think they should have a tattoo on them letting everyone know that they are sex offenders. Registering isn't enough, a lot don't do it so more people are at risk. The tattoo would look ridiculous but hey deserve for everyone to know what they did. But that's just my opinion.
