No. The pursuit of happpiness has little to do with the pursuit of money. Happiness means good relationships with other people. Happiness means having someone to love. Happiness means the ability to enjoy games and sports. Happiness means being able to enjoy a nice meal. Happiness means whatever makes you feel good -- and it need not have anything to do with money. Some of my happiest moments have been doing something that costs absolutely nothing, such as watching a beautiful sunset, watching some fuzzy little ducklings learning how to swim, watching my child smile.

k...my job is to talk, i mean, thats my job, and my best advice to you is that, if money makes you happy, then yes, but many different people have different meanings of happiness, money only helps to get happiness. i.e. Someone is happy skateboarding, so he uses money to buy a skateboard. Money is the middleman of happiness, or a tool used to get happiness. I really don't want to give the biggest explaination ever, so I kept it short. Somethings that make you happy don't involve money, such as a walk through the park. So really, no, the pursuit of money is the pursuit of greed. and greedy people don't make people happy. There ya go.

If you are referring to work or as far as making money to be happy,I do not believe the money itself is the same goal as happiness. happiness does not equal money.

For me, its more of the pursuit of success in making something work and expanding on it and following a goal is the pursuit of happiness. the money is not the motivating factor. The money comes along with it in some cases, but not in all. some successful businesses may not necessarily make TONS of money, but can have the same fulfilling feeling as if someone that was successful in a biz that does make great deals of money.

Money makes some people happy. But if one is satisfied with themselves, than I guess money would not mean everything. For a multi billionaire you could have everything going, but the day you loose the cash/empire, God Forbid what have you got.

As a close friend was telling me, Money can either make you or break you. If you extremly rich that is. If you extremly rich people all want to know you,the day you aint have it where all those people who said that they were your friends???.

GoodLuck

Happiness, is like beauty, it's in the eye of the beholder.

Happiness can be money to some, can be success to others, maybe power, love, etc. It is hard to define. If you put it in context to where the phrase was introduced in history, think about what the "men" wanted back them.

I would say it was freedom - to rule themselves. To govern themselves.

No, the idea of happiness varies from person to person. I have a friend who doesn't care if they have much money, they just want to be able to pursue learning. There are others who pursue money, but they are by no means happy.

If I didn't have any bills to pay such as morgage, rent, water, electricity, car, food on and on...
I wouldn't need money, hey lets live in open land and live off the land no matter how cold or predators we encounter.

if money makes you happy, then yes

the quote aims to say that we americans have the right to basically (and within reason) do whatever we feel like doing and not having to worry about gripes telling us what we can't do.

If one equates happiness with how much money is in the bank, then, yes.

take my advice, now 99.99999999% of the human population would say "OF COURSE! Who would even deniey?" well, that 00.0000000000001% of the human population would say that happiness can be found in someone, materials, etc.
I think, maybe, that you might be wrong, you know? with the posibilities. (sarcasim)
