10 impressive things about you?

Make a list of 10 (or as many as you can) things about yourself/things you've done that would sound impressive to other people. They must be true.

(I'm working on my list - in no particular order)

1. I played a role in a TV show Gary Oldman narrated.

2. My fiance almost got hit by a paper ball thrown by Patrick Stewart - lol

3. I adapted a novel into a play and did the translations myself

4. I got to do a light saber fight at The Kennedy Center

5. I had cancer

(I'll think of more later)

I'm sure there are impressive things about you guys. I'm doing this as an exercise because I feel kind of down right now.

I tell other people when they're depressed to write down good things about themselves - or things that would seem impressive to other people, even if they don't seem that great to you.

I'm hoping it helps.

Wow! You guys are awesome! You sound like people I would love to meet!!!

Isn't it interesting how we tend to think of our lives as not so impressive, but we have so much to be proud of for what we've accomplished.

6. I had a string of major health problems and bad luck, but still managed to be productive - even if not in the traditional way.

7. I never finished college to get may bachelor's degree, but I was hired to teach in the master's program of a very respected college in Washington DC

8. I have very good dogs that I've trained myself - and they won me a trip to London.

9. I'm in the middle of writing 2 novels, which are starting to get some attention.

10. I just started taking ice skating lessons - and after 2 months my teacher put me with the students who have been skating 2 years.

I. I served in the Military. (Korea and Vietnam)
2. I have voted every year since I was 21 (I am now 70)
3. I was a rodeo clown for 17 years.
4. I have broken my nose over 14 times.
5. when I 55 years old I took up the game of racquetball and went to school and became a certified AmPro instructor.
6. when I turned 55 I had my back operated on and in 6 week and 4 days, I won the Pennsylvania State Racquetball tournament.
7 I have had both my knees replaced and still play golf and racquetball
8. I won the world doubles champion ship in Paris with an artificial knee.
9. I won the world doubles championship for men 60+ in Paris and also the world mixed doubles championship the same week.
10 Last but not least I am a 7 time state champion, 3 time National champion and a 2 time world champ..
Impressive? Maybe to most.. To me? Just good stiff compitition after the age of 55

1. i'm in the middle of writing 3 books.
2. i won the 2nd prize in a nation-wide universities design contest.
3. i make more money than all my friends.
4. i'm 23 & already put 2 down payments on flats i'm planning 2 rent out back home.
5. i saw aerosmith! yeeeeeee :D!!!
6. i got an iq of 140 (145=genius)
7. i'm smart enough that i've never been fooled by anyone & had big problems from it.
8. i can tell 'good' people from 'bad' people from a conversation. (thank God! thats something i dont want 2 lose).
9. i got an A in my graduation project, not a lot of people did.
10. i got a 87.3% average in my high school finals, & the exams were really hard :)

1. I can juggle, I've heard only one person in 400 can do that.
2. I once swam across a lake that was two and a half miles wide, when I was 14.
3. I'm very good at Jeopardy and Trivial Pursuit.
5. I won a horseshoe pitching tournament.
6. I've taught over 300 different people to drive standard transmission, most right from scratch.
7. I made a speech in front of 500 people in Washington, D.C., having written it a half-hour before I stepped up to the microphone, and it was very well-received.
8. I once held a pool table in a crowded bar for 19 straight games, taking on all challengers... and most of them were very skilled players.
9. I had a weekly radio show in college.
10. I won a car rally.

Maybe not so impressive to most people, but I am proud of who I am and my accomplishments, and I have much more to learn and discover. Thanks for letting me toot my own horn, so to speak.

1. I'm a mix of almost all the east Asian countries. (China, Korea, Japan, etc.)

2. I've jumped into a river that was 45 degrees Fahrenheit to save a little kid.

3. Depending on my mood, my eyes can change color. Most of the time they stay brown though. I can make them turn red too. Its really cool!

4. I've scored a 90% or above on all of my calculus tests and quizzes this year.

5. I've had a manga strip published in a Shonen Jump issue.

6. I'm related to John Adams...through a whole bunch of marriages.

7. I'm ambidextrous.

8. I've broken my leg falling out of a tree (not very impressive but you know what can I say. Not very many people break their legs falling out of a tree)

9. I know how to drive a car and I haven't taken Drivers Ed. yet.

10. I've made 1000 paper cranes for my friend in the hospital so that he could get better, and he did.

2) i was hit by a car while riding a bike by a man who was too old to still be driving and came out with only one small scar.

8) I received an award that NO one in the ENTIRE WORLD has ever one before.
9) i am a photographer.
10) i meet famous people (actors, senators, presidents, musicians, ect.) every week (this is all true)

I survived cancer.
I have numerous health problems, but no one really knows in my personal life because I don't complain.
I was up and around 4 weeks after major neck/back surgery.
I earned my bachelor's degree in spite of all my health problems.
I earned the Foreign Language Laureate in my graduating class in high school.
I've been married for 16 years and counting.
I homeschooled my kids for 3 years.
I was a German exchange student and went to Europe on my own for 6 weeks when I was 18 years old.
I teach reading and the English language to "at risk" kids.
I have a near photographic memory.

I can stand up by myself. (I'm still working on the sitting part though.) I can belch AND fart fluently in 17 different languages. I can pick my nose and wipe the booger in somebodies hair without detection. I can flip two people off at the same time using both of my fingers. I can use my thumb to hitch a ride. (I'm still figureing out how to go back the other way though.)
