Drinking and driving is wrong.
A few year's back a friend of mine's granddaughter was killed by a drunken driver not far from where I lived. She was a sweet little girl who was just skipping down the street and joking with her friends as she was hit. Another friend was the first adult on the scene. Our neighborhood was never quite the same after that.
He lobbied the State Legislature hard for a new bill. It passed and is now called, "Melanie's Law."
I believe the driver who had been drinking wine at lunch received three years in jail. She was a repeat offender who felt she was "just around the corner" from her home.
Paris made a mistake. I don't know if she should be in jail or not, but I do know that no one should have a drink and then get behind the wheel of a car
Driving is a right, not a privilege.
If you want to drink, stay home or designate a driver who isn't going to have ANYTHING to drink.
FYI: Paris does not have a high tolerance. She was also on medication the night she was drinking and that could have had an effect on her breathalyzer. However, you are in DENIAL if you think people can actually build up a tolerance and then get behind the wheel of a car.
By the way, I don't drive. Late last summer I had a seizure and fell on my face. While they appear to be under control, I still don't have my license. My doctors and I simply decided it was right to turn in my license. Do I want to drive? You betcha. Paris drove without a license, knowing she was on probation. She has a problem and she has to come out of denial about it.
I defend her on other questions because I think she is ill and shouldn't be in the regular part of the jail. The news now says she is being taken care of. I hope so. She is a beautiful girl who I hope leads a long and wonderful life, albeit a sober one.

Serina T., you better get your head on straight before it's too late. She had to be drunk or she wouldn't be serving time now. Da! What year were you born. You have to be 21 yrs. old to drink today. If you get caught, or any of your friends, and whether you're under age or not, you'll get busted. Everything you've said is garbage, and then some. How dare you say that she's too talented or pretty to be in jail. She's long overdue to be treated like trash, because she did an OWI, no other American citizen could pay off a judge, go crying to their mommy to get out of a jail sentence. I live in a small town, and the school district where my kids went, a young man only 17 at the time, went out and killed somebody and went to school, played football and attended classes, as if he didn't do anything wrong. Then as months went on, he took a friend back to the crime scene, and someone told the police exactly what went down, and he's serving a life sentence. He was a straight A student and was offered a scholarship, and he threw all of that away, because he wanted to see if he could get away with it. There is nothing different from this story and from Hilton's. You kill anybody or do a terrible thing like drunken driving, you have to pay for it, and pay the society for all of your wrongs. Nobody is going to feel sorry for this gal, except for Nicole who will eventually be in jail herself. People who are celebrities and do bad crimes like these two did, have to pay for it. You obviously don't know anything. When everyone is doing it, one day you'll get caught at something terrible and you'll end up just like her, just as these young teenagers have sex before marriage, while they're in high school, and end up having babies as teenagers, and lose all of their friends. Wake up before it's too late. Look at what Steven Avery did? Nobody gets away with nothing, and it's time you learned that girl.

She isn't in jail for her DUI. She violated her probation stemming from her suspended license due to her DUI. You Paris lovers can't even get that part right!
All Paris Hilton fans should be forced to look at nothing but photos from drunk driving accident scenes for at least 72 hours. Maybe it will finally sink in that she was WRONG and needs to ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR HER ACTIONS.
( But I doubt it)

Have you ever thought about getting your brain checked or joining the cell that Paris is in? Paris had a DUI offense and could have injured or killed someone. If that's not a big deal to you then you obviously have been tainted by Paris' stupidity.

Are u currently hitting the crack pipe?? It's not someone's choice to be hit by a drunk driver!! It's NOT her own buisness if she kills someone while driving drunk!! Are u freakin' kidding me. While I do blv it's not her fault that she was let out early, I do believe that she should have to pay for being stupid. Ur crazy and u need help.

The thing about county jail is that a woman like Paris Hilton, who is a valuable asset to her family and their estate is that jail is ridden with the most dangerous forms of bacteria and communicable disease that the general public tend to incubate intheir disgusting filth bodies. It is no place for a wealthy asset. The U.S. Government or mainly the State of California will suffer in some way shape or form. Remember, never piss off the rich, they have the money to do severe economical damage to the pathetic general public and their bankrupt government.
