ive seen a retrackedable hard top for a corvette before but its after market and pricey

Yes, you can find a hardtop roof for 2005 Corvette, either by calling a Chevrolet dealer or checking out some Corvette tuners.

According to the Corvette Action site, a regular production option was available...C2L Roof, Package, Dual Removable.
If so, your Chevy dealer will be able to get it. Tell the parts mgr you want to know if production code C2L is available.
It will come in primer so a paint job will be necessary.

Do you have a glass top now? If so you can call your local chevy dealers parts dept.They can order the hard top the color of your corvette for you.

You CAN do as much as your wallet will allow . A lift off hard top is available from the factory and as an aftermarket part . Very expensive !
