any bikers out there,just got me first chicken chaser and need to replace front downpipe.not had much to do with bikes before so this will proberly sound dumb,here goes.
i have front downpipe which came with 2 round seals,one for the engine end and one where it joins the silencer,the front of the downpipe is held to the engine by a cover plate,should there be a gasket under this plate? to hard to tell at the moment because its a mass of rust.

no only between the exhaust and the barrels the cover plate is just a flange for bolting the exhaust to the engine

link is no good really,does not show any parts for dr125sey,
maybe because its a link to usa site and dr125sey was not for that market,hope somebody else can help out,sholud of stated uk based tho :)
