I was going to ask a question on here and I found myself typing those two words together but it doesn't seem to make sense. Is that an oxymoron "teenage child?"

teenage - between, and including ages 13 to 19.
child - a person who has not reached the age of majority
oxymoron - where contradictory terms are applied
So, it isn't an oxymoron, at least legally.
Some teenagers behave like responsible adults, some behave like toddlers, and the rest are somewhere in the middle. [ just like the adults! ]

I dont really think u know what the word actually means, and no one has really given u an accurate example. An oxymoron would be something like this: ur teacher decides to not count one of your low test scores to help raise ur grade, but your lowest test score was an A. That my friend, is an oxymoron=] But, teenage child can be considered an oxymoron from a sarcastic point of view- those who believe teenagers are immature and still behave like children. I hope this helps...but u shouldn't worry about this little things when asking questions.

I would say a teen aged child is from age 13 up to 18. A teenaged adult would be someone 18 to 19 years old.

No. An oxymoron would be "teenage grownup" or a "child adult". Words strung together that have opposite meanings like: "George Bush smart man".

Child and teenager are different stages in life, however, sometimes a teenager can act like a child.

no, because teenage describes how old the child is. a teenager is still a child until he/she reaches 18. so it's a child in their teens. it's not an oxymoron.

and we're not morons either :P

It's not an oxymoron... teenagers are still children. They're just older than other children. :-)
