PLZ ANsWER THIS QUESTION??????????.?

Question

it was raining the other day, and wen i was driving i loss control and hit the gutter with the left front wheel

the wheel isnt bent,,but its leaning to the side and looks screwed,, eventhe steering is screwed

took it to a pro he replaced the steering rack,,,,,and said he doesnt quite noe wats rong wit it, and says i shud take it to a body shop or sumfin,,says ive might of bent the cross member or sumfin,,, i have a honda prelude 1989 and its 4 wheel steer,,i can still drive it (but i aint) he said its gona cost thousands and i dont have that much money,,,(i didnt even hit the gutter that hard i mean i thought i needed a wheel alighnment)

so what shud i do,, shud i get it looked by sum one else??? he didnt seem to much ,,the left front wheel isnt bent that much,,but the steering is screwed becuz of this

theres gota b another way (ive herd its a ride off) like the wheel aint dat bad its pissing me off,,, everythings else is fine,,, n i love it

try puting a totally differ rim and tire on the car and see what happens...

Get the tire checked out, it might not look bad but it might be. Also get a wheel alignment done on the car, it sounds like the person you took it too didn't do a good job when he replaced the steering rack. Not all pros are equal when it comes to fixing cars. Might need a few hundred dollars worth of work done on it, and that is just for labour if nothing is broken.

Doesn't sound good. You need an excellent mechanic but I am sure you know what than can mean. Ask around and investigate. Get numerous quotes. Be sure you explain the problem as accurately as possible. Maybe you can get the mechanic to drive the car-with you in it. Perhaps the only choice you will is to take it to a Honda dealer and that will cost you. At least if you go to a dealer you can also get back to Honda's regional rep. Good luck.

Like the other guy said, you need ME.
'But judging by your English it would be highly improvable, to ever see this vehicle.
I did not know that Pre Lubes came with four wheel steering.
At least not in the U.S., they are rather rare cars over here.
But lets just take this as logic, if you hit the left front on a Honda, you most likely f-ed up the lower control arm.

Sounds like something in the suspension could be bent; a leaning tire is a good sign. Take it to a shop that specialize in suspensions and alignments.

You should align your wheels men. Unless some of your Honda prelude parts are broken, you should have your tires aligned first. Who knows, you might be able to find the problem ones you have it aligned cuz they will conduct some thorough check up to your tires.

Sounds like you messed up a strut and through the camber off.

Any good tire or alignment shop should be able to help you out for about $300.00 parts and labor.

If your wheel is leaning out at the top and there is no visible damage it's a racing certainty you have bent the stub axle.

please no ghetto speak. its annoying. you probably bent tie rods. take it someplace else and see what is going on. being this car is ancient, unless it is primo, i wouldnt put a whole heck of a lot of money into it. its worth maybe 1500 bucks.
