Bindi (Irwin's daughter) is determined, she says, to "follow in my dad's footsteps."

I long thought that Steve Irwin had the biggest pair, and the thickest head. Seems like that's genetic, and crosses genders.

Well, I disagree with the MISTREATMENT of creatures and "parading and showboating" of them around and OFFERING admission to a ZOO to see such prisoners... so it is a complicated issue for me. I mean IF I RAN THE ZOO, I would release the "non-murdering ones" into a SAFE REFUGE and I woudl focus on REHABILITATION methods in ZONES or ZOO-like rehab clinics if necessary in order to help CREATURES back to teh GARDEN... I mean it's what we all want... it's about PROPER POLICING and allowing freedoms where due.

AS far as the GIRL and a DEATH WISH, well we live in a world where people do myriads of things that may or may not be dangerous... I mean I think FIRST and FOREMOST we have to ask ourselves if in this case involving a CHILD if whether or not the PARENT is allowing a child to do something taht may be dangerous ~ for example take a look at the example of a PARENT PLACING a child on teh back of a 4-wheeler without a helmet and zipping around real fast... is this logical? Do parents PROMOTE things in dangerous ways at times?

"what should we as a society be doing about the crocodile issue?"

No I don't think this is a death wish. Bindi Irwin has been around wild life her entire life. I am sure her mother would not let her do anything she thought would be overly dangerous. Steve Irwin's death was such a shock, who would have thought he would die due to a stingray. After all the dangers he faced. He did so much to try and educate people on wildlife, and tried to insure that all creatures would be around for future generations. He was a special person with a special mission. He did what he wanted to do and tried to help the wildlife that he enjoyed so much.. His daughter evidently has the same feelings toward this as he did and that is why she wants to "follow in her dad's footsteps".

If I recall correctly, Steve Irwin was doing this from a very young age as well. I agree, he seems to have passed his 'pair' and then some on to his daughter. But Terry is no different. She used to work with 'Big cats.' So they are both driven by their environmental concerns. We all love it when kids give us a bit of hero worship. Steve Irwin is so unlucky, in that he will never see his daughter grow to be the advocate he hoped to raise. I guess he won't ever get to see her rebel, either. He will always be a hero in his daughter's eyes.

No she just wants to further her father's conservation causes which is admirable, but I think she's 10 yrs too early with her TV show.

Right now she reminds me too much of those old syrupy Olsen Twins videos from back in the 1990s. Although they have money now, Mary Kate & Ashley haven't been immune to various personal & professional issues since their late teens.

One former child star I hope Bindi doesn't have to copy in the future is the current state of Lindsay Lohan! (Part of LL's problems stem from having an absentee father as she was growing up and a mother who loved to use her to further her own career.)

Are you a MR? She means his footsteps of animal conservation... What, do you think she wants to die in this field? Her mother is wonderful, and would never let her do anything dangerous. That family is extremely intelligent, and what happened to Steve was a total freak accident. If you have a problem with the Irwin family, I suggest you just ignore them. Defaming their family name isn't going to make you a bigger person, it'll just make you look like a loser.

I believe she means "follow in his footsteps" as in being one of the greatest and most widely-known nature and wildlife conservationists ever. I think its a shame that the words most people describe Steve Irwin as are "that guy who got killed by a stingray".

I admire that little girl. She is very smart and so charismatic. Following her father's footsteps shows that she also love animals and the preservation of earth. I think your statement is very immature and not very smart. I wish her luck on her new adventure. Remember she did her dad's eulogy!!
