I also want my perfect match to be a gentleman. I love it when guys show small gestures of consideration to a woman like opening her door, helping her carry something heavy, etc. I think it shows that he is a thoughtful guy.

I don't, however, want a guy who is afraid to approach me or initiate a relationship. I want a guy who is strong in that way...not overbearing, though.

I also think that my perfect match wouldn't be extremely outgoing (of course not shy either), because really outgoing people overwhelm me. So, I'd like someone who can handle social situations, but isn't consumed by his social life.

And do you know what the interesting thing about all of this is??

I met a guy like this recently AFTER I had those criteria. It seems like things are going to work well for us. I guess I'll have to wait and see!

I also used to joke that my perfect match would buy me purple roses! LOL

He is 6'2" - blonde - reddish beard - green eyes (that seem to turn colors) - has a Dutch accent - knows/taught Ju Jitsu (spelling) - loves anything fast with wheels - bends down to kiss me - listens to old funk music - is a gentleman - sweet - and compassionate - he can be stubborn but will let me think I am getting my way - holds my hand while we sleep - is good around the house - can fix anything - has too many tools to do it with (who needs 4 different kinds of drills or saws?) - knows that doing the dishes or filling my gas tank up is more romantic than flowers sometimes - plasters my car inside and out with hot pink post it notes telling me everything he loves about me - (I have been late to work a couple of times because of that) down to earth - silly - a 10 year old in a 44 year old's body - knows that some of the best times cost nothing at all - can rough it in the woods and not think a thing about it - knows how to be quiet to just listen to God - wow I miss my husband!!
